Given her extensive legal prowess, her approach combines advice with hands-on project management, guiding her clients and being present, not only when things go wrong, but planning ahead to minimise the chance of missteps. Having founded an innovative legal services model, she manages a team of virtual in-house counsel, offering comprehensive assistance throughout the project lifecycle, encompassing legal guidance and infrastructure advice.

 

As one of the first firms in Australia to provide legal services specifically to Startups (big and small), Janya has experience with all-things-tech and with the team assisting her, Lehman Walsh offers tailored and reliable advice and representation under its ‘Private Service’ arm, covering non-commercial legal work, including appearing and advising in all matters relating to cyber and white collar crime, AML/BSA, inquiries, national and international tax, fraud and corruption investigations.

Tracy Carr

Property is what Tracy is about, and she is into building her clients’ empires as if they were her own.
Tracy has worked extensively in New South Wales and Queensland over the last 11+ years, including in Australia’s largest top-tier international law firms, as well as in the legal team in some of Australia’s largest listed companies.

While Tracy is based in Sydney, Tracy has a strong track record of national expertise in transactional and advisory work for commercial, industrial, agricultural and retail property. She is also experienced with PEXA, Australia’s electronic conveyancing system.

Tracy regularly presents at industry seminars for the legal profession and for clients on property law issues. She has also held a number of executive and chairperson positions on committees, has undertaken a number of legal secondments, and is passionate about social justice, diversity and inclusion, mentoring and public speaking.

Fatimah El-kordi

Fatimah provides advice to clients on commercial disputes across various sectors, including insurance, building and construction, and intellectual property (IP).

 

She appears in the Local, District and Supreme Court, and has experience in dealing with cross-jurisdictional claims.

 

With her deep knowledge in insurance law, Fatimah acts in a range of insurance disputes, including major loss recoveries, property, construction, as well as general liability matters. She also regularly advises on indemnity disputes and policy coverage.

 

She has managed complex insurance matters for Lloyd’s of London insurers, self-insured’s and third-party administrators (TPA). Fatimah’s ability to effectively resolve claims, and manage disputes is underpinned in her experience working in-house for a TPA as a Senior Claims Consultant on general liability claims.

Jonah Town

Jonah is experienced in all aspects of family law including divorce, de facto relationships, parenting and children’s matters, property settlements and binding financial agreements.

 

Jonah has appeared for matters dealing with complex parenting matters including recovery orders and involving property matters.

 

Jonah has practiced exclusively in family law since first beginning practice in 2020.

 

Jonah prides himself on quick and consistent communication with clients and ensuring each client receives a tailored approach.

Sally Jackson

Partner

Sally has worked for several years for a well-renowned international immigration company.

 

Sally was a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 1277001) specialising in Australian Immigration Law since 2011 until the passing of the Migration Amendment (Regulation of Migration Agents) Act 2020 which came into effect on 22 March 2021.

 

Sally has extensive experience in all areas of Australian Immigration, including complex appeals, and citizen applications.

 

Such experience is strengthened and diversified through her former Engineering background and her liaisons with Middle Eastern and Latin American communities.

 

Sally also practices Property Law, Wills and Estate Planning, and Family Law.

Katherine Sierakowski

Katherine specialises in Commercial Law, Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Family Law. Katherine regularly appears in all Western Australian Courts, including the Family Court, the Supreme Court and the Federal Court.

 

Katherine graduated from Murdoch University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Mass Communication). She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in Western Australia in 2012.

 

Prior to starting Siera Legal, Katherine was the managing partner of MGM O’Connor Lawyers and prior to that the director of a boutique commercial legal firm for four years. Katherine has extensive experience in Commercial Law, Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Family Law and Estate Law.

 

Katherine approaches complex legal matter with a thorough understanding of the commercial environment. Katherine has real-world business experience in a number of different sectors, including agriculture and family businesses and uses this experience to provide clients with pragmatic and effective advice.

 

Katherine’s passion is helping her clients to navigate the complex legal world with a focus on prioritising resolving matters where possible by agreement, without the need to proceed to Court.

Anita Aarons brings solid business skills and extensive legal experience to private and commercial clients across Melbourne.

An accountant, lecturer and entrepreneur, Anita managed her own successful accounting firm before completing a Juris Doctor (JD) at Melbourne University and embarking on a career in law. She subsequently completed a Masters in Taxation and is now a recognised leader in her field.

 

As well as being one of Melbourne’s foremost tax lawyers, Anita consults on a variety of areas including Property Law, Family Law and Employment Law. Her clients benefit from a well-rounded approach that enables her to evaluate their requirements from a number of legal and strategic perspectives.
